The Habitat Tour is a hands-on, interactive opportunity led by Battle River Watershed Alliance that promotes exploration and discussion of the various micro-habitats of Big Knife Provincial Park. The tour promotes activity based learning on important habitat and watershed themed based topics, such as invasive, endangered and native species, as well as discussing curriculum based concerns like changing climate, complexity of ecosystems and the biotic and abiotic factors that influence them. The habitat tour will allow participants an opportunity to learn and explore various ecosystems through research, investigation and scientific methods. The habitat tour was developed to fit the newest updated version of grade 6 curriculum, with particularly strong links to earth and living systems units. Teachers guide available on request.
