Camrose Purple Martin Festival

Are you familiar with these high-flying birds that travel thousands of kilometers to Brazil and back every year?

The Camrose Wildlife and Stewardship Society's Purple Martin Festival will be held on June 22, 2014 (9:30 am to 3 pm) at the Stoney Creek Centre (5320 - 40 Ave., Camrose).  The focus is on Purple Martins, but integrate other birds, wildlife, and environmental concerns. Join them for great bird watching, Purple Martin management tips, nature studies, and more. Activities include a tour of nest boxes around Camrose, a talk by Kim Blomme (wildlife rehabilitation), a talk by the Camrose Camera Club (beauty and diversity of wildlife near Camrose), workshops for beginning and advanced martin landlords, and activities for kids.

Stoney Creek Centre, Camrose
