The story of the Battle River and its watershed is not confined to Alberta. Once the Battle River enters Saskatchewan, it flows on until it reaches the North Saskatchewan River south-east of Battleford, Saskatchewan. From here, water from the Battle River flows on to Manitoba, entering the Saskatchewan River delta and feeding Lake Winnipeg. Water from Lake Winnipeg then flows into the Nelson River and on to Hudson Bay.

This photo was taken at the Battle River's confluence with the North Saskatchewan River on the final day of the BRWA's 2012 Rolling Down The River Bike Tour.
